The Latest News from YRMC: Caring for You During COVID-19

Dear Patients, Visitors and Friends,

As your community healthcare provider, Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) is committed to keeping you up-to-date on how we are caring for you during the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Here’s the latest news from YRMC:

  • Elective Surgeries and Procedures Halted – By Executive Order from Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, YRMC – along with all Arizona hospitals – is temporarily halting all elective surgeries and procedures. This move will conserve essential medical resources during COVID-19, including N-95 masks, surgical masks, surgical gloves and more. Please contact your physician to discuss options if you are scheduled or planning for an upcoming elective surgery.
  • Emergent and Urgent Surgeries and Procedures – Surgeries and procedures that are considered “emergent” or “urgent” may still take place under Governor Ducey’s Executive Order and will still be scheduled and performed at YRMC.
  • The Purpose of the Tents on Our Campuses – You may have seen the large tents that went up last week at both YRMC campuses in Prescott and Prescott Valley. These tents will be used as a preliminary “triage” point to examine people who arrive at the Emergency Department with COVID-19 symptoms (fever, coughing, shortness of breath). YRMC’s experienced Emergency Services team is prepared to care for patients who need emergency care at YRMC West in Prescott or YRMC East in Prescott Valley. We expect to begin using the “triage tents” this week. Stay tuned for more details.
  • No Visitors at YRMC – For the health and safety of our patients and staff, we continue to ask all visitors to please STAY HOME.
