John Obudzinski, DO, FACOI, recently joined the team at Dignity Health, Yavapai Regional Medical Group, Internal Medicine in Prescott.
“After practicing internal medicine with a large multispecialty medical group in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the past 44 years, my wife and I have, after years of planning, finally relocated my medical practice to beautiful Prescott, Arizona,” Dr. Obudzinski says. “My son had lived here for many years and received his MBA at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, so we have visited the area many times. My dream has always been to be on staff at Yavapai Regional Medical Center and practice medicine as part of their medical group.”
Devoted to Patient-Centered Care
Dr. Obudzinski is a dedicated practitioner of patient-centered care. His patient care philosophy was shaped during an internal medicine internship and residency at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He is a graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine – Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
“I have never wavered over the years in my dedication to excellence in patient care delivered on a personal basis with compassion and empathy,” explains Dr. Obudzinski. “I have always felt that it has been a privilege to practice medicine. It’s an honor to help patients stay healthy and treat, to the best of my ability, the many chronic medical problems we face as we age.”
During his career, Dr. Obudzinski has also helped educate other providers. He has served in clinical professorship roles at numerous academic institutions including, for example, Midwestern University, in Downers Grove, Illinois and Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Obudzinski served in active military service for three years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.
“I have pride in our wonderful country,” he says. “I also have a special respect and honor for all those serving now as well as the many veterans who have served our country to keep us all safe.”
Dr. Obudzinski is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists.
